20 Months and climbing!
You are such a riot right now! I love it! You can do some of the craziest things. You can zip up and down your night time outfits, put the car key into the ignition...and then turn it!, and then today you peeled a banana completely on your own. It was so funny to turn around and see you eating it without any help from me. I was so confused at first.
A few things to note....
You are not 18 months old and I am playing catch up on my last 6 months of slacking....
1. whenever you say a word that starts with L you stick your tongue to one side of your mouth between your teeth, it is so funny.
2. You JUST started calling me Momma this week (Jan 19th), I have been Dada for the last 7 months.
3. You love to jump and can get some serious air every once in a while.
4. You LOVE to chase and be chased. It makes you squeal in delight.
5. You think the basement is fabulous and continually want to go down there and watch the laundry spin.
6. You like to try on other peoples shoes.
7. You are a total flirt in that you will smile and giggle at everyone, but then not let them hold you.
8. You have just started to say "again" and are constantly making Dad give you horsey rides over and over again using your new found skill.
9. You still love your blanket.
10. You have learned to love the bath, but hate getting your hair wet.
11. You want to sit on every dog you see....its pretty funny since you back your way into them.
12. You are still so happy all the time and love to travel around and be out and about.
13. You are scheduled this week to get tubes put in your ears...I wish we could avoid it.
14. Right now you are 86cm, wiegh 28 pounds, and have a head circumfrence of 51cm....Big Boy.
15. You love to eat hot dogs, broccoli, guacamole, anything with cheese, and m&m's.

Pool Fun!
We are in NC right now renting a beach house with some friends and you are having such a blast. Yesterday was your first time in a pool and you were rather reluctant at first but then seemed to enjoy yourself as long as you were being held.
Today we spent about an hour in the pool and you were having so much fun. You were riding on the boogie board with your Dad behind you and we would tell you to kick...and you would! It was so cute. You really seem to be liking the water more and more, hopefully by the end of the week we can get you to dunk your head in.

Ahhhh Dinner Time
At One Year
At your one year appointment you weighed 23 pounds 12 ounces, and were 33.5 inches long. You can walk, and love to climb up onto everything. You don't clap or wave, but you give us "baby-fives", hugs, and kisses. You love to play peekaboo from behind the arm of the love seat and raise your arms to "How big is Miles?".
Your first word was night-night...in reference to your blue and green blanket. Now you can say, Mama, Dada, and dog as well. You say night-night now when you are tired and will walk me to the stairs. If you are hungry or thirsty you will walk me to the fridge, and if we ever ask you if you want to go to the park, you go right to the box that holds all the shoes to get yours out.
You are determined. You will try and try until you get where you want to go or what you wanted. You are so funny. You love to laugh at everything, and make us always smile. You are daring. You love it when Dad tries to "drop" you, and you love love love being high up. You are snuggly. When you get sleepy, all you want to do is roll around on the ground cuddling up to your blanket. You will carry it over to one of us and then collapse into our arms. You are curious. You explore everything, want to touch everything, put it into your mouth, throw it on the ground, carry it around the house. You discover nooks and crannies I never knew existed. You are such a little explorer.
Your favorite animal is definitely a dog. You fell in love with Ginger at Grandma and Grandpa Checchio's. You flirt with other people when you are close to us, but rarely let anyone else play with you. You love other kids and want to be doing anything that they are.
You are such a joy, and have always been so happy.

Kisses
You just turned one two weeks ago and last week you started giving me kisses. Your Dad and I have been asking for kisses for months now. Sometimes you oblige, but only if you want to. It is more of a love bite, with a open mouth, like you are trying to bite our cheeks off, but it is a kiss none the less. You have surprised me this week by doing it at the most random times, it is the sweetest thing and I love it...even though it gets my face all slobbery.
Grandma and Grandpa Checchio
We went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Checchio early in June. It was so much fun. You loved spending time at their house. They had tons of toys and fun things to play with, but the best things were Ginger and the backyard.
You loved Ginger. Anytime she came near you, you would laugh thinking that she was playing with you or chasing you. It was so funny.
I think that you thought Grandma and Grandpa lived at the park because right outside they had so much grass, and the woods. You didn't like the grass at all. It was so funny. Unless you were wearing your shoes you wouldn't want to get on it at all. Grandma put out a blanket one afternoon and it practically barricaded you in, so you were stuck. But you refused to crawl on the grass at all. You would sit and wait for some one's hand to help you through the grass.
Then we left for a few days and you stayed with Grandma and Grandpa for two nights and with Aunt Amy and Uncle Bill for one night. You did a great job! You really bonded with everyone, and played and seemed to have so much fun with everyone.
